I believe in service before self.
In my years of involvement in Plano, I have had the honor of working with a great number of citizens who care about the future of this great city as much as I do. Many of these people have asked me to take this next step in my service to Plano. I am humbled and honored to be asked to do so.

Previous Service to the Community
•	Former Chair of the City of Plano Transition and Revitalization Commission
•	My Friend’s House, a CITY House, Inc. initiative
•	Leadership Plano graduate, Class 21
•	President of the Plano Homeowners’ Council (2003 - 2007)
		- -	Helped homeowners on issues ranging from home repairs to foreclosure/bankruptcy issues.
		-	Assisted in teaching homeowners on financial responsibilities.
•	President and Board Officer of 765 member Timber Brook Estates HOA (1998 - 2007)
•	Active and supporting member of Plano PTAs
		-	Barron, Hickey, McCall, Bowman, Williams and Plano East
		-	After hours events for school children
•	Involved with fundraisers for less fortunate community members or those suffering from family tragedies.

 

Getting Things Done for Plano
•	Vice-Chair, Transition & Revitalization Commission, City of Plano
		- -	Urban Centers Study which received the North Central Texas Council of Governments 2007 CLIDE Award for Development Excellence.
		- -	Workforce Housing Study – The Buffington Report: Aided city staff in completion of the report.
		- -	Provided input and direction on establishment of new citywide apartment rental inspection standards.
		- -	Provided input on content and design of city’s new HomeSmart Knowledgebase website.
•	Revitalized existing communications network allowing timely notification of neighborhoods on zoning cases and public safety issues.
•	Crafted input to state lawmakers on future statewide HOA legislation.
•	Provided direction and training to HOA officers and boards within the City of Plano.
